Obituary for Anne M. Speck

Anne M. Speck, 88, of Auburn, died Thursday, March 30, 2016, at the Finger Lakes Center for Living, following a brief illness.
Mrs. Speck was a life resident of the Auburn area, the daughter of the late Andrew and Anna Friga Sopchak. In earlier years she was a Quality Control Chemist for Ivanhoe Foods. She was a communicant of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, and a former member of the church choir and St. Marian Sisterhood.
She is survived by her husband of 66 ½ years Michael S. Speck, her daughter Nancy (John) Baumes, and two sons David Speck MD, and Rev. Michael Speck DDS, all of Auburn. She is also survived by her six grandchildren, Steven and Katie Baumes, and Barbara, Michael, Peter and Christina Speck, Sisters-in-law Mary Ann and Dorothy Sopchak, several cousins, nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Dr. Andrew, Michael, John and Nicholas Sopchak.
Funeral services for Mrs. Speck will be at 10 A.M. Saturday, April 2, 2016, from the Plis Funeral Home, and 10:30 A.M. in St. Nicholas Orthodox Church. Burial will be in St. Nicholas Cemetery. Friends are invited to call Friday from 4 to 7 P.M. at the funeral home, 220 State St.
