Obituary for Zilpha M. "Skip" Lambert (Byram)

Zilpha "Skip" Lambert, 91, formerly of Marcellus passed away Friday January 15, 2016 at Loretto. Born in Saratoga Springs to the late Delmar and Martha Bryam, she resided most of her life in Marcellus. A graduate of Marcellus Central Schools and St. Joseph's School of Nursing, Skip worked for many local hospitals and retired from Lipe-Rollway in 1982. She was an avid bowler, bowling in many classic and local leagues. Skip volunteered for 29 years at Community General Hospital and the American Red Cross, and was a life member of VFW Post 8664 in Camillus. She was predeceased by her husband George in 1984.
She is survived by her beloved sons Clark (Kathleen) MacDowell, Jr. of Constantia and James (Denise) MacDowell of Chittenango; 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Skip will be offered at 9 a.m. on Wednesday January 20 at St. Francis Xavier Church, Marcellus. The Rite of Committal will be in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
