Obituary for Helen Jean Schneider (Stalker)

Helen Jean Schneider, 90, of Marcellus passed away Tuesday January 12, 2016 at the Syracuse Home. Born in Marcellus on July 1, 1925, to the late Harry and Eurena Stalker. Jean graduated from Marcellus Central Schools in 1942 and C.C.B.I. in 1943. She worked at Bardeen Union Teachers Agency until 1950. She was the Court Clerk for the Town of Marcellus from 1969-2001, and continued to work from 2002-2010 as a part time court clerk for the town. Jean was a charter member of the NYS Association of Magistrates Court Clerks, Inc., were she was the NYS Court Clerk of the year in 1995. She was also a charter member starting the Onondaga County Court Clerks Association in 1974. She was predeceased by her husband Jacob R. Schneider, brother Robert Stalker and sister Eleanor Schneider.
Jean is survived by her children Pamela Breck and Ron and Judi Schneider; grandchildren Amy (Matthew) Ronkese, Matthew Breck, Gregory (Jolene) Schneider and Jacob Schneider; great grandchildren Harper and Harlow Ronkese, and Abigael Schneider.
As per Jean's wishes services will be private. She will be buried in Highland Cemetery, Marcellus.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Advocates, 636 Old Liverpool Rd., Liverpool, NY 13088.
