Mr. Oleksa was a life resident of the Auburn area, the son of the late Harry and Piza Nazinkievich Oleksa. He attended trade school in Schenectady, NY, and until his retirement was employed as an electrician at General Electric, Auburn. He was an Army veteran of WW II. He loved a celebration, and was the last one off the dance floor.
He is survived by his children Dr. Jerome (Lynn) Oleksa, DDS, of Seneca Falls, Karen Marie (Sherif El Bayadi) Cleveland of Syracuse, and Linda (David) Balk of Auburn, nine grandchildren, Nathan and Justin Cleveland, Luke, Matthew, Sarah and Shea Oleksa, and Devon, Lezlie and Avery Balk, his great granddaughter Lyla Cronin, and three nieces. He was predeceased by his wife Carole Wiseman Oleksa, and sister Helen Fleszar.
