Obituary for Jayne B. Doust

Jayne B. Doust , born Sept 11, 1944 in Watertown , NY died Tuesday, Nov 18, 2014 in Ocala, Fla. Jayne retired after a 25 year career as ticket and licensing manager with D.I.R.T. Motorsports. In 2013 she was inducted into the D.I.R.T. Motorsports hall of fame under the category of Women in racing. Following her retirement in 2005 Jayne and her husband Rob made their home in the winter months in Inglis, Fla. before returning home to Marcellus, NY during the warm months . She was preceded in death by her brother John Bartlett.
Her survivors include her husband of 49 yrs , Robert Doust of Marcellus, NY and Inglis Fla; her son Gregory Doust (kelly) of Jamesville, NY; 2 grand children , who she was very proud of , Braeden and Bailey; her mother Helen Bartlett of Redwood, NY; her sister Betty Spies of Palmetto, Fla. and the entire central NY dirt racing community.
A Celebration of Jayne's life will be 2 p.m. Sunday April 12, 2015 at the Plis Funeral Home. Calling hour will be from 1-2 p.m. Sunday prior to the service at the funeral home 33 North St. Marcellus.
