Obituary for Marjorie Lutzy

Marjorie Lutzy, 102, of Howlett Hill passed away peacefully in College Park, MD on May 24, 2015.
Marjorie was born in Syracuse, NY to Mason Burleigh and Florence Case Burleigh on August 22, 1912. She graduated from Solvay High School and Central City Business Institute. Marjorie was a very talented artist who won many awards for her paintings. She loved flowers and was very adept at arranging them. She also served as a judge at flower shows. She was a member of Solvay Garden Club and Howlett Hill Presbyterian Church.
Marjorie was predeceased by her husband, William Lutzy, and sisters Kathryn Burleigh, Doris Gleason and Muriel Blum.
Marjorie is survived by her daughters, Merrilee Jones of College Park, MD., and Robin (James) McLennan of Skaneateles, grandchildren William Bradley McLennan of Skaneateles, Todd McLennan of Marcellus, Kathryn Van Lew, Jennifer Martinez, Richard Jones and James Jones, all of Maryland, eleven great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.
Services for Marjorie will be 10 a.m. Saturday May 30 at the Plis Funeral Home. Calling hours will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday May 29 at the funeral home, 33 North St., Marcellus.
