Obituary for Rosemarie M. Aversa

Rosemarie M. Aversa, of Auburn, fell asleep in the Lord, while listening to the last strands of Ave Maria. She died Sunday, November 30, 2014, in Auburn Community Hospital.
Rosemarie was a life resident of the Auburn area, the daughter of the late peter and Mary DiRenzo Aversa. After High School she attended Secretarial School, and worked for the Veterans Administration and ARC prior to her retirement. She was an active member of St. Mary's Church.
In her younger years, she enjoyed traveling to Florida and Las Vegas. She loved spending time with family, and was known for the famous fudge she brought to family affairs, and the two dollar bills she gave as gifts. In later years she enjoyed her special circle of friends, and traveling to see musicals. She adored her cat Fargo.
Rosemarie is survived by her sisters in law, Beverly Aversa and Lillian Garropy, and her nieces and nephews Peter and Jacquelyn Aversa, Julie Aversa and Alexandra Munson, Johanna, David Dominika, Noah, Nathaniel and Makrina Donch, Melissa, William and Luke Wilczek, Dean Rhonda, Marc and Emma Aversa. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers Peter and Ronald.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:30 A.M. Friday in St. Mary's Church. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery Mausoleum. There are no calling hours.
Contributions may be made in Rosemarie's memory to Finger Lakes SPCA of CNY, 41 York Street, Auburn 13021.
