Obituary for Genevieve Zanowick

Genevieve Zanowick, of Detroit, Michigan, died Thursday, May 1, 2014. Genevieve was a native of Auburn, the daughter of the late Samuel and Mary Oristian Zanowick. She was a graduate of Auburn central High School, and received a BSN from the University of Pennsylvania, and her Masters in Nursing from Wayne State University. Before moving to the Detroit area she had been employed by the former Mercy Hospital. She was an educator at Harper Hospital in Detroit, and worked for the Michigan Dept. of Public Health until she retired.
She is survived by her sister Stella Chalanick of Auburn, her brother Dr. Russell (Mitzi) Zanowick of Arizona, and her sister-in-law Teresa Zanowick of Auburn, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Alexander (Al) and Bowden (Bud), and her sister Mary Fedor.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. Saturday in SS Peter & Paul Church. Burial will be private. Contributions may be made to SS Peter & Paul Church.
