Obituary for Marilyn "Sue" Parsons

Marilyn "Sue" Bortz Parsons, 73, of Auburn, died Wednesday, August 14, 2013.
Marilyn was a life resident of the Auburn area. She was employed by The Home for a number of years, retiring in 2003. She had been very active in the Welfare Rights Reform Movement of the 70's.
She is survived by her daughter Suzanne (Thomas) Miles of Scipio Center, and three sons, Richard (Roberta), Shawn (Diane Henry) and James (Helen), all of Auburn. Also surviving is her sister Barbara Savarese of Union Springs, her brother Richard Bortz of Auburn, 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Marland Parsons in 2003, and her son Marland Parsons Jr., in 1970.
The Family will receive friends from 4 to 6 P.M. Friday at the Plis Funeral Home, 220 State St., with services being held at 6 P.M.
