Obituary for Ada Ethel O'Ree

Ada Ethel O'Ree passed away Saturday Jan. 19, 2013. Ethel was born in England and lived in Blackpool, England until the late 1940's when she came to Syracuse, where she worked at the Marble Farm Dairy. She was a loving wife and mother and a member of the Navarino United Methodist Church. She always willing and eager to help in the church and in the Navarino Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Ethel was an admirable baker and enjoyed knitting and took great pride and enjoyment from taking care of her husband and family. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten and always loved.
She was predeceased by her husband of 40 years Harold O'Ree in 1993, her stepdaughter Fern O'Ree, stepsons Lewis and Nelson O'Ree and her grandson David Haley in 2005.
Left to honor her memory is her son Paul (Michelle Halliday) O'Ree of Homer, daughter Hazel (Bill) Donahue of Syracuse, stepdaughter Kandee Agnes-Cull of Pahrump, NV and stepson Robert O'Ree of Marcellus. Sisters Kathleen (Ron) Hughlock of Redmond, WA., Nora Vickers of Bremen, GA, and Barbara Bailey of Otisco. Grandsons Nathaniel (Alison) Toth of Dobbs Ferry, Robert O'Ree of Florida and Duane O'Ree of Tully, granddaughters Florence Stanton of Tully and Cheri O'Ree of Rose Hill and many nieces nephews and her two beloved great granddaughters Anna and Dana Toth.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday Jan 22 at the Plis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Navarino. Friends may call on the family from 5-7 p.m. Monday (today) Jan 21 at the funeral home 33 North St. Marcellus.
Memorial donations in Ethel's name may be made to the Apple Valley United Methodist Church.
