Obituary for Pearl C. Jackson

Pearl C. Jackson, 73 of Jamesville, passed away Wednesday Feb. 23, 2011 at Community General Hospital. She retired from Onondaga County Department of Social Services. She enjoyed playing cards, puzzle books, bingo and traveling with friends and family. More than anything she loved being there for her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister Norma Deyneka.
Pearl is survived by her daughters Lena (Patrick) McGuire of Camillus, Mary (Scott) Clark of Elbridge and Ann (Michael) Gallagher of Lansing; son Jim (Joyce) Jackson of Johnstown, PA; brother Gene (Patricia) Chapman of Marcellus; grandchildren Tanner and Logan McGuire, Amanda, Kaitlyn and Kevin Jackson, Steven and Rebecca Clark, Emily and Aidan Gallagher and several nieces and nephews.
Services for Pearl were 1 p.m. Sunday Feb. 27, 2011 at the Plis Funeral Home. Spring burial will be in Amber Cemetery. Friends may call on the family from 12-1 p.m. Sunday prior to the service at the funeral home, 33 North St. Marcellus.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in memory of Pearl may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
