Obituary for Catherine Cornish Jedra

Catherine C. Cornish Jedra, 90, of the Town of Throop, died Thursday, July 21, 2011, at her home, following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Henry J. Jedra Sr.
Mrs. Jedra was a native of Fremont, Ohio, and has resided in the Auburn area for most of her life.
She is survived by three sons and their wives, Henry J. Jr., and Betty Jedra of Port Byron, David and Christine Jedra of Weedsport, and Michael and Sharon Jedra of Throop, and her daughter-in-law Lorraine Jedra of Myrtle Beach, SC. Also surviving are her sisters Betty Jane Kowal and Audrey (Kelly) Custer , both of Auburn, her brother Donovan (Roberta) Cornish, of Cape Cod, MA, 11 grandchildren, 19 great –grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Henry in 1992, and her eldest son Ronald Jedra in 2009.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 A.M. Monday, in St. Hyacinth's Church. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery Mausoleum.
In keeping with Mrs. Jedra's wishes, there are no calling hours.
Contributions may be made in her memory to the Throop Ambulance, or St. Hyacinth's Church.
