Elizabeth “Betty” Kehoskie Pingryn, 82 of Auburn, died Saturday, September 24, 2016. Betty was a life resident of the Auburn area, the daughter of the late Peter and Anna Twitchko Kehoskie. She was a retired employee of the General Electric Co. She enjoyed an occasional trip to the Casino, watching golf, cheering on the Bills, Mets, Knicks and any team the Yankees were playing. But most of all, she enjoyed time spent with her family.
She is survived by her husband Nicholas “Nick” Pingryn, her sister Rose Marie Kehoskie of Auburn, step-daughter Cathleen (Kevin) Streeter of Auburn, step-son Michael Pingryn of Haverstraw, NY, granddaughters Andrea, Alexandra and Anna Streeter, her brother –in-law David (Judy) Pingryn, sister-in-law Sandra (Clair) Hildebrant, several nieces and nephews, including Michelle Breault. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her sisters Mary Kehoskie, Mildred Clark, Theresa Clark, Helen Lombardo, and Ann Kuncio, brothers Stephen, Peter, Michael, Andrew and John Kehoskie, and step-granddaughter Christine Pingryn.
Funeral services for Elizabeth will be at 9 A.M. Wednesday from the Plis Funeral Home, and 9:30 A.M. in St. Nicholas Orthodox Church. Burial will be in St. Nicholas Cemetery, Half Acre.
Friends are invited to call Tuesday (today) from 4 to 7 P.M. at the funeral home, 220 State St., Auburn.
Contributions in Betty’s memory may be directed to St. Nicholas Church or the Finger Lakes SPCA of CNY.
