Shirley Kenyon Gooden, 90, of Marcellus passed away Saturday December 10, 2016 at Elderwood at Liverpool with her family by her side. Born to the late Leon and Gladys Miller Kenyon, she graduated from Marcellus Central Schools. She helped run the family farm with her husband Herbert and raised their 4 children. She was a member of the Marcellus First Presbyterian Church and its Woman’s Association. She was a member the Ugly Quilt group at the Marcellus Grange and also spent 20 years wintering in Florida.
She is survived by her husband of 70 years Herbert; daughters Rebecca (Charles) Schiedel and Martha (Charles) Harhood; sons Phillip (Dora) and Dale along with 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her sisters Betty Rosa and Lulu Coon. She was predeceased by her brother Charles Kenyon.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday December 17 at the Marcellus First Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in the spring in Highland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Marcellus First Presbyterian Church 1 E. Main St., Marcellus.
