Dora L.  Fleszar (King)
Dora L. Fleszar, 94, of Auburn, died Thursday, January 5, following a brief illness. Dora was a life resident of the Auburn area, the daughter of the late Vernom and Marcia Barrow King Moncrief. She has always been involved in food service, working for the Auburn School District, Sacred Heart Church and School, was the Supervisor for Meals on Wheels, and retired as food Service Supervisor from Westminster Manor. She also did private Catering. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church, and active with the Loyal Order of Moose, serving as Regent, holding other positions, and receiving numerous awards.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Patricia and William Bozek of Auburn, her son and daughter-in-law Stanley and Charlene Fleszar of Latham, NY, her grandchildren Mark, and Daniel Fleszar, Michael (Danielle) Bozek and Crystal (David) Gibson, and twin granddaughters Myla and Audrina Bozek. She is also survived by her sister Helen (Roy) Hotailing of Elbridge, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Stanley in 1968, an infant son David, and siblings LaVerne Gonyea, Robert and David King.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered for Mrs. Fleszar at 10 A.M. Monday in Sacred Heart Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Friends are invited to call Sunday from 3 to 6 P.M. at the Plis Funeral Home, 220 State St., Auburn.
Contributions may be made in her memory to Sacred Heart Church.
Dora’s family wishes to thank the staff at Auburn Rehab and Nursing Center and 3rd Memorial at Auburn Community Hospital for the care and kindness they gave to her during her stay.
