The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Maria Ruschak can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence From: Samantha Milliord (Leslie)
Condolence: Mary was apart of my life for as long as I can remember as a 'Big sister' to me. From Judy and Andy always including me for every holiday, wedding and even days after Judys son was brought home, I couldn't be more grateful. She guided me through my growing years as a role model and continued to do so after our program ended. She will always be in my heart and my heart goes out to the family.
Love, little sister, Samantha

Condolence: My dear aunt Mary had the biggest heart and a gently soul. May she rest in peace and her children (my cousins) know that they were the loves of her life. My heart is broken that she is gone so soon. Susanne

Condolence: Dear Andy,
I saw the notice in the Sunday Citizen and was so saddened. My heartfelt sympathy. Your mom was a really cool person. I've known her for close to 40 years. We worked together at Mercy Hosp. back in the late 70's, and again at Urgent Care on Grant Ave. Maria was a wonderful technologist, very intelligent, informed, gracious, and kind.

I teased her recently when I saw you both shopping. I was being super silly and showed her something. I kind of interrupted the conversation you and she were having and in retrospect if I was going to do anything, I wished I'd just given her a Big hug.

God bless you Andy. I know you and your mom were close friends, support for each other, and respected each other which is as good as it gets. If ever you'd like to talk with me I'd love to visit with you.

All my best to you, and Judy, and Maria's grandson, and also to her siblings who I know she enjoyed playing cards with...
