Frieda M. Pelton, 80, of Auburn, died Saturday at Auburn Community Hospital with her loving family by her side.
Frieda was born in Conquest, NY, the daughter of the late Clinton and Mildred Ott Snyder. She was a life resident of the area. She was a former employee of the Auburn Nursing Home. She enjoyed Crocheting, Bowling, Baking, spending time with her grandchildren, and attending their sporting events. Her all time favorite past time was doing word searches.
She is survived by her four children Pamela (Dennis) Crowley, Lori (Marcy) Albino, Louis Pelton and his fiancé Jen Clark and Mary Pelton Bishuk and her nine loving grandchildren Kelly and Patrick Crowley, Dustin and Amanda Albino, Allison, Mollie and Shannon Pelton and Andrew and Skyler Bishuk. She is also survived by her brother Earl (Lillian) Snyder, sister-in-law and best friend Kate Snyder, brothers in –law Ron Harris, Dan Swann, Steve (Big Daddy) Pelton, several nieces and nephews, and her fur baby Abby.
Besides her parents, Frieda was predeceased by her loving husband Louis A. Pelton in 1982, her grandsons Aaron Austin Albino in 1994, and Jason Alexander Bishuk in 2006, and her fur baby Gracie. She was also predeceased by four sisters Marjorie Parkman, Betty Timerson, Ellen Harris and Sharon Swann, and three brothers Virgil Snyder who died during WW II, and William and Richard Snyder.
Funeral services for Mrs. Pelton will be at 11 A.M. Friday at the Plis Funeral Home. Frieda’s brother Rev. Earl Snyder will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. A Celebration of Frieda’s life will follow cemetery services at the Owasco Country Club. Friends are invited to call Thursday from 4 to 7 P.M. at the Plis Funeral Home, 220 State St., Auburn.
