Obituary for William Dushatinski

William Dushatinski, 89, of Auburn, died Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at the Commons on St. Anthony.
Bill was a life resident of the Auburn area, the son of the late Thomas and Anna Gurka Dushatinski. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of WW II. He was a former employee of Chrysler New Process Gear, retiring in 1988. He was a communicant of SS Peter & Paul Church.
Bill was very active in Scouting. He received the St. George Emblem Pelican Award in 1976 and the Silver Beaver Award in 1983. He followed the Yankees and S.U. sports teams, and "lived" at Falcon Park following the Auburn Doubleday's.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in –law Ronald and Margaret Dushatinski of Auburn, grandsons Brian (Gracie) of Baltimore, Robert & Marc of Auburn, his daughter-in-law LuLinne Dushatinski of Baltimore, his sister Helen Chinkivich of Auburn, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Helen Kijowski Dushatinski in 1990, his son James Dushatinski in 2006, his granddaughter Carlene Dushatinski, brothers John and Frank "Chappy" Dushatinski and his sisters Mary Wasilenko, Ann Kaufman, and Julia Kaznowski.
Funeral services for bill will be at 9:30 A.M. Monday, January 4, from the Plis Funeral Home, and 10 A.M. in SS Peter & Paul Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call Sunday from 3 to 6 P.M. at the funeral home, 220 State St.
Contributions may be made in his memory to SS Peter & Paul Church.
