Obituary for Arnold T. "Arnie" Hutchins

Arnold T. Hutchins, 85, of Marcellus passed away Tuesday March 17, 2015 at Van Duyn Center for Rehab and Nursing. Born in Buellville, NY to the late George and Hattie Hutchins, Arnie spent his younger years in Manlius before his family moved to a farm in Cato. He retired from Sanford & Burtis Fire Apparatus, and served in the US Navy from 1946-1951. Arnie was predeceased by his wife Nan in 2002 and siblings Hubert, Betty, Bruce, Jim and daughter-in-law- JoAnn Farrell.
He is survived by his daughter Elizabeth (Bill) Daly, sons David (Susan), Christopher and Michael (Carey) Hutchins and William, Robert, Michael and David (Tammy) Farrell; grandchildren David Jr., Darlene, Holly, Martin, James, Sean and Ryan. He is also survived by his twin Allen Hutchins and sister Anita Dougherty.
The Hutchins and Farrell families would like to thank Sue and Jim and all the other caregivers at his home and the staff of 6N at Van Duyn for their care and compassion for Arnie.
Spring burial for Arnie will be held at a later time to be announced.
Arnie loved many animals in his life, both in the fields that he loved to watch and the one's that shared his home. The family wishes that memorial's in his memory be made to an organization that advocates for animals.
