Obituary for Frank "Chappy" Dushatinski

Frank "Chappy" Dushatinski, formerly of Auburn, died Sunday, October 26, 2014 at his residence in Chesapeake, Virginia.
Frank was an Auburn native residing here most of his life before moving to Virginia. He was the son of the late Thomas and Anna Gurka Dushatinski. Frank was an Army veteran of WW II. He was retired from ALCO. He was a communicant of SS Peter & Paul Church. Frank was a big fan of the New York Yankees and New York Giants, and enjoyed the games at Falcon Park. He enjoyed woodcarving replicas of historic landmarks, and received Presidential recognition for his work in "Saving Americas Treasurers.
He is survived by his two sons and their wives, Thomas P and Janet of Suffolk, VA, and Gary L. and Barbara of Chesapeake, VA.. He is also survived by five grandchildren Tennille, Thomas, Jeffrey, Christopher and Jennifer, six great grandchildren, Anna, Gabrielle, Brian, Danielle, Katelyn and Emma, his sister Helen Chinkivich, brother William "Bill" Dushatinski both of Auburn, sister-in-law Betty J. McKnight of Trumansburg, NY, brother-in-law Gobel Vaughn of Plano Texas, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his loving wife Frances L. McKnight Dushatinski in 1990, his brother John Dushatinski and sisters Mary Wasilenko, Anna Kaufman and Julia Kaznowski .
Funeral services for Mr. Dushatinski will be at 9:45 A.M. Thursday, from the Plis Funeral Home, and 10:15 A.M. in SS Peter & Paul Church. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends are invited to call Wednesday from 5 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home, 220 State St.
Contributions may be made in Mr. Dushatinski's memory to SS Peter & Paul Church.
