Obituary for Frank J. Plis

Frank J. (Tony) Plis, 85, of Stryker Homes, formerly of Fleming, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 4, 2014 at the Auburn Nursing Home.
Frank was born on January 5, 1929 in Owasco, NY. He resided most of his life in the Fleming and Auburn areas. He was a former employee of Chrysler Corporation New Process Gear, retiring in 1985. Frank served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was a communicant of St. Hyacinth's Church, and a member of the Polish Falcons, and the Swietoniowski-Kopeczek Post American Legion.
He is survived by his sons, Mark (Michele) Plis of Auburn and Randy (Betty) Plis of Windsor Locks, CT, grandchildren Tracy (Nick) Van Vught of Ledyard, CT and Bryan (Laura) Plis of Evansville, IN, and great-granddaughter Jillian Van Vught.
Frank was married to the former Margery Bachta for 35 years until her passing on August 5, 1988. Frank was also predeceased by his parents, and granddaughter Amy Plis.
Services for Frank will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Please consider contributions in Frank's memory to the Wounded Warriors Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas, 66675.
